      1. I’m happy to recommend Ann Hardee and her Chair Yoga classes to everyone.  I’m 75 years old and have been a student of a variety of yoga practices since the mid 1980’s.  It is my belief that there is no better way to nourish and nurture the body, mind and spirit.  I have always felt and looked much younger than my years, thanks in many ways to my yoga practice.
        Two years ago, I fell backwards down a flight of stairs and broke my left hip.  It has healed nicely with the help of an excellent orthopedist who installed a rod and a screw to keep me moving.  Since that traumatic time, however, age and arthritis have not been my friends and I find it very difficult to open up my left leg at an angle, to kneel, or put any pressure on my right wrist.  Finding Ann and her Chair Yoga classes has been my lifeline to maintaining a feeling of well-being.  She is a kind, loving, and FUN teacher and I am blessed to have her in my life.
        One added note:  Chair Yoga is NOT just for older folks who have limited movement;  it is beneficial for all ages.  The stretching, the balancing, the “workout” can be just as effective as if one is on the floor.  THANK YOU, ANN!

      "Let me just say I don't know when I have enjoyed a class so much!  I am having a huge fundraiser for Cone Hospital tomorrow night and have been working hard on it and not sleeping well.  When I came to class yesterday I was cranky and exhausted.
      The careful words you used when we were in every position helped me to completely let go.  It was helpful when you would say "focus on your breathing" and "quiet your mind."  Making adjustments to be more comfortable was really important.  The room was PERFECT...cozy, quiet music, candles.  Your guidance through every position resulted in the maximum de-stressing and relaxation.

      The proof was in the pudding...when I left I felt rested, energized, a better sense of well being...truly restored!"  - Judy


  1. The Flexible Strength class on Saturday mornings at 9:00 is structured for beginners to advanced students. Various levels of each Pilates-type exercise is demonstrated for each students fitness level.
    Flexible Strength exercises strengthen and stretch every muscle of the body simultaneously - a total body conditioning program that targets the core muscles.

  2. "Bliss, relaxation and renewal - that about sums it up.  I feel "light" when I leave the class - physically and mentally (not to be confused with light-headed!) but similar to the relaxed feeling following a massage."  - Trudy

    • Ahhhhh...........Sweet peaceful relaxation at the end of each Gentle Yoga and Chair Yoga class. After you open your body with gentle movements that strengthen and stretch, you relax your body and mind while comfortably supported with pillows, bolsters and blankets. And Ann will offer all a soft massage or aromatherapy to complete your Yoga practice and send you home refreshed and renewed.
